Delhi excise policy case: ED acted in most highhanded manner, Kejriwal tells SC
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of behaving in a high-handed manner in a money-laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. Kejriwal, who is currently in Tihar jail, filed a petition challenging his arrest and stated that he had cooperated with the investigation. The ED had claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the main beneficiary of proceeds of crime from the scam. The ED also alleged that part of the illicit funds was used in AAP's political campaigns. Meanwhile, Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, will campaign for AAP in his absence during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
