Great idea! But one thing is that it's not railway's problem so how will you find customers for the product

Hi Ronit, appreciate your question. The concept focuses on helping railways directly ,it’s not a passenger product. It aims to reduce cleaning effort, waste along tracks, and overall maintenance costs. Thanks for showing interest!

It doesn't work in slow speeds, do you have any ideas for that ?

Hi Lohit, thanks for your question. I’ve tested this concept across various train conditions, including different routes, train types, climates, dense areas, and a few more test scenarios. The system performs effectively once the train reaches an average cruising speed of around 60–80 km/h, where airflow pressure becomes sufficient for proper operation. In dense or populated areas, where speed tends to fluctuate, performance may slightly reduce but remains consistent once normal speed is regained. Appreciate it.

Thank you for your reply. What is the minimum theoretical speed required for the system to work ?

Hi S J Lohit Prakash, Yes, the system doesn’t work at very low speeds because it needs a certain airflow pressure to operate. However, most trains reach sufficient speeds for it to function effectively. When the train is stationary or moving very slowly, the bottles will remain in the disposable opening or in the pipe. Once the train gains speed and airflow builds up, the bottles are carried toward the bin. We could add extra mechanisms to move the bottles at low pressure, but my intention is to keep it simple and manual, without relying on external energy. Appreciate your thoughts on this!

Studious Menace-

I mean if you innovate in trains, you need governments support but what you are suggesting is a luxury, not a necessity. The government will shut you off with one simply question, why can't the passengers walk till the dustbin to throw the garbage. The only place where you have a little bit of hope is our metro trains, or the upcoming bullet trains. Though, I repeat there is little hope.

Hi Nikhil, exactly earlier passengers would just throw bottles out of the window. With the Air Trash Bin, each section in the coach has a disposal opening near the windows, so passengers can easily throw bottles into it, helping keep the compartment, tracks, and surrounding areas clean and reducing plastic waste near landfills. It can work for any moving vehicle if it’s useful, and the design can be adapted according to the type of vehicle. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and understand the concept!

In train passengers prefer being seated in their seat and just throw the garbage through the window so it will also work in local trains

Appreciate your feedback, Menace! I never considered this idea as a luxury — I genuinely noticed this challenge during train journeys, which inspired me to think of this solution. Regarding passengers using dustbins, I completely agree it is also their responsibility, but in crowded coaches, convenience can be a real challenge. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
